Ms. Julie Strassel

Drama Teacher

A native of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Ms. Strassel began performing in grade school and continued more seriously through high school. She studied acting intensively at the University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Theatre Performance. She began teaching theater and drama to young people in 2002 for the Young Actors Guild Summer Academy in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Since then, she has taught theater in New York City, Paris, France, Charlotte, North Carolina, and throughout Chicago. Additionally, she has written curriculum for Chicago Shakespeare Theater's education department.  Ms. Strassel earned a Master of Education in Elementary Education from DePaul University. She loves being a part of the Goudy family.
